US-designed sports bike and BMW stunt-spec machine to launch in Sydney
Visitors to the 2009 Sydney Motorcycle Show will be the first in the world to see the production version of the Fischer MRX, an all-new US-designed and manufactured sports bike.
Featuring a world-first one-piece Grand Prix chassis, the 'American Exotic' is an ex-AMA Superbike rider's local answer to a motorcycle market dominated by Japanese and European manufacturers.
Dan Fischer set out and succeeded in his goal of creating a locally-produced machine in an efficient manner, without sacrificing style or rideability.
This 650 V-twin ticks all the boxes and has now arrived in Australia, where the 2010 production version will be uncovered for the first time at the November 20-22 event.
Also making its first appearance in front of a local audience is BMW Motorrad's F 800 R Chris Pfeiffer edition, featuring a number of competition-spec upgrades to celebrate the stunt rider's success.
BMW Motorsport paintwork is detailed on the bodywork, wheels, rear shock spring and pillion seat cover and an Akrapovic sports muffler adds a sporty sound to the motorcycle's dynamic look.
The production version will be revealed to Sydney showgoers this week and will be available by special order only, with delivery slated for April 2010.
Over 600 motorcycles will be displayed at Australia's most comprehensive two-wheel showcase event, taking place at the Sydney Showgrounds.
